Shaker Cabinet Style
Versatile and popular. These words best describe the shaker style. It is composed of five segments – vertical pieces on the sides called stiles, horizontal pieces on the top and bottom called rails, and a recessed panel in the middle. This particular style can lend itself to multiple design choices whether you lean more to a country or contemporary flair. Whether painted or left a natural wood, this cabinet style continues to be chosen by multiple clients. Shakers also make a great choice if you are considering selling your home later since it is a well favored option in kitchen design.
Farmhouse Cabinet Style
While this style shares similar characteristics with traditional, it has begun to develop its own unique elements including beadboard, shiplap and reclaimed wood. Painted maple with a high gloss finish in a variety of colors tends to be the trend with this style. A mixture of materials such as metal, glass, and wood are usually present in the design choices. Due to its more simplistic style, the space can feel more open, airy, and clutter free. Those who enjoy a unique space that possesses an unrestricted design palette love the modern cabinet style.
