Limited Lifetime Warranty

RESIDENTIAL PURCHASER

Walker Woodworking, Inc. (“Walker Woodworking,” “WW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of the cabinetry and millwork we manufacture. This Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty applies to eligible Walker Woodworking products subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions described below.

WHO IS COVERED?

This warranty applies to the original consumer purchaser of Walker Woodworking products installed in a personal residence within the United States. The warranty is non-transferable and ends when the original purchaser no longer owns the home in which the products were originally installed. This warranty does not apply to subsequent homeowners, rental properties, commercial applications, or products used for purposes other than normal residential use. Walker Woodworking may require reasonable proof of original purchase or ownership when evaluating a warranty claim.

WARRANTY TERM

Subject to the terms and exclusions contained in this Limited Warranty, Walker Woodworking warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns the home in which the products were originally installed. The warranty period begins on the date the Walker Woodworking products are originally delivered for the project.

WARRANTY REGISTRATION

For projects delivered on or after July 1, 2026, Walker Woodworking requests that the original purchaser be identified through our online Warranty Registration Form. The dealer may complete the registration on behalf of the homeowner or provide the registration link directly to the homeowner. Registration helps Walker Woodworking maintain accurate ownership and project records and allows us to provide more efficient warranty service. Projects delivered before July 1, 2026 are not required to be registered. Warranty requests for older projects will be reviewed using available historical job records and reasonable proof of original ownership. Warranty registration does not make the warranty transferable.

  • Dealer, installer, contractor, designer, or subcontractor labor
  • Transportation or freight
  • Overtime or expedited labor
  • Travel expenses

  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Sinks or faucets
  • Backsplashes or tile
  • Flooring

NATURAL WOOD CHARACTERISTICS

Wood is a natural material. Variations in color, grain, texture, figure, density, and other characteristics are expected and are not considered defects.

Natural characteristics may include:

  • Color and grain variation
  • Mineral streaks
  • Sapwood and heartwood variation
  • Knots and other natural growth characteristics
  • Differences between solid wood and veneer components
  • Variations in stain absorption
  • Natural darkening or lightening with age
  • Seasonal expansion and contraction
  • Minor changes in door and drawer reveals
  • Hairline cracks at joints in solid-wood or painted components
  • Grain telegraphing, depressions, waves, or other natural surface characteristics

Natural wood and finishes will change in appearance over time. Sunlight, artificial light, smoke, cooking residue, environmental exposure, and normal aging may cause cabinetry to darken, lighten, or otherwise change in color. These characteristics are inherent in genuine wood products and are not covered by this warranty.

PAINTED FINISHES

Painted wood products are subject to the same natural expansion and contraction as stained wood products. As wood responds to changes in its environment, hairline cracks or joint lines may become visible where rails, stiles, panels, moldings, or other components meet. These conditions are considered normal characteristics of painted wood cabinetry and are not considered manufacturing defects.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Wood is hygroscopic, meaning it naturally absorbs and releases moisture as it seeks equilibrium with its surrounding environment. Changes in humidity and temperature can cause wood components to expand, contract, warp, split, crack, or experience changes in door and drawer reveals. Walker Woodworking cabinetry must be delivered, stored, installed, and maintained in a stable, climate-controlled indoor environment.

Damage or performance issues resulting from the following are not covered:

  • Installation before HVAC systems are operational
  • Improper storage
  • Excessive or insufficient humidity
  • Extreme temperature fluctuations
  • Construction moisture
  • Standing water
  • Plumbing, appliance, roof, or window leaks
  • Flooding
  • Fire or smoke damage
  • Mold
  • Excessive steam
  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
  • Outdoor or unconditioned storage
  • Failure to maintain reasonable residential environmental conditions

Seasonal movement may be particularly noticeable in inset cabinetry because of the close tolerances and consistent reveals associated with this construction style.

PROPER CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Walker Woodworking products must be cared for according to our published Cabinet Care & Maintenance Instructions.

For routine cleaning, Walker Woodworking recommends using only a soft cloth lightly dampened with clean water, followed immediately by drying with a clean, soft cloth.

Damage to the finish resulting from improper cleaning methods or products is not covered.

This includes damage caused by:

  • Soap or detergents
  • Furniture polish
  • Wax or oil
  • Disinfectants
  • Glass cleaners
  • Abrasive cleaners
  • Scouring pads
  • Bleach
  • Ammonia
  • Alcohol
  • Acetone or solvents
  • Vinegar or acidic cleaners
  • Silicone-based products
  • Steam cleaning
  • Other chemical cleaning products

Water, spills, grease, and food residue should be removed promptly. Wet towels, damp cloths, or other moisture-producing materials should not be left in contact with cabinetry.

  • Abuse or misuse
  • Neglect
  • Improper design or specification
  • Incorrect measurements
  • Improper installation
  • Improper handling or storage
  • Jobsite damage
  • Water or moisture exposure

UNAUTHORIZED REPAIRS OR MODIFICATIONS

Walker Woodworking must be given an opportunity to evaluate a claimed defect before repairs, modifications, refinishing, replacement, or disposal of the affected product. Do not repair, modify, refinish, discard, or replace a Walker Woodworking product without prior authorization. Unauthorized repairs or alterations may affect warranty coverage and reimbursement eligibility. Walker Woodworking is not responsible for costs incurred without prior written approval.

REPLACEMENT PARTS AND FINISH MATCHING

Walker Woodworking cannot guarantee an exact match between replacement components and existing cabinetry.

Differences may result from:

  • Natural variation between pieces of wood
  • Aging of the existing cabinetry
  • Exposure to light and environmental conditions
  • Changes in available materials
  • Changes in finishing products or processes
  • Differences between production batches

Walker Woodworking may request an original finished door, drawer front, molding, or other component to use as a physical color-match sample. If a requested sample cannot be provided, the replacement component will be produced using the best available project records and finish information. Slight differences in color, grain, sheen, or appearance should be expected and are not considered defects.

PRODUCT CHANGES AND DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS

Walker Woodworking reserves the right to change product designs, construction methods, specifications, hardware, materials, and finishes without obligation to make similar changes to products previously manufactured. If a covered component is no longer available, Walker Woodworking may provide a reasonably comparable substitute. A replacement product or component may differ in construction, material, color, grain, finish, or appearance from the original product.
